          • Easy to use

          Cons

          • Quality could be improved
          • Low quality microphone

The Akai KS-213 is a top loading karaoke machine with a decent amount of features. The player has some LED lights around the machine which gives children the karaoke disco experience. It has built-in speakers, although not very powerful, they are power-efficient, which makes this a good choice for a portable karaoke machine powered on batteries or power cord.

There are some different audio controls such as balance and echo and automatic voice control. It also has connections for video and audio output, but some users report that it will not play video on TV if the input is from another device, such as a smartphone, tablet or mp3 player. If using the CD+G, then video output to TV should work.

          Features:

          • LED lights
          • 2x 1.8W built-in speakers
          • Audio controls (balance/echo/AVC)
          • Video and audio outputs
          • Runs on either batteries or power cord
          • Supports 2 microphones (only 1 included)
          • Dimensions: 16 x 13 x 11 inches
          • Weight: 8.3 pounds

The Akai KS-213 is a simple to use karaoke machine that comes with basic features in the lower price range. It is portable and lightweight, but may not be the best quality choice for adults who require more powerful sound. However, better sound could be achieved by connecting it to a more powerful speaker system. The average Amazon rating is 3.8 out of 5 (ratings as of 9 April 2016).
